The City of Hoboken invites residents to participate in a public workshop to guide the development and direction of a Green Buildings and Environmental Sustainability Element of the current city Master Plan.

The interactive workshop will solicit input from participants and will be held on Thursday, April 18 from 6pm to 8pm at the Hoboken Public Library’s Reading Room, located on the 2nd floor. The library is located at 500 Park Avenue.

A Green Buildings and Environmental Sustainability Plan Element will encourage and promote the efficient use of natural resources, the installation and usage of renewable energy systems, the conservation and reuse of stormwater, and will consider the impact of buildings on the local, regional and global environment.

The City has retained the services of Natural Systems Utilities, Chartier Sustainability Group and Rutgers University to prepare the Green Buildings and Environmental Sustainability Plan Element.

The City also invites residents and businesses to take a sustainability survey which is available at www.hobokennj.org/sustainabilitysurvey.
